Cuffing Szn: The Dating Game & Date Ideas 💡

It’s Cuffing Season. Besides the leaves changing, this goes for the dating scene as well. It’s a new season for eligible bachelors and bachelorettes. There’s a whole new POV of dating with the regard of post pandemic—- overuse of dating apps and now more in person dating. I’ve been living in DC for awhile and know the scene. And yet, somebody son still has yet to find me.

SOOO, LET’S CHECK THE STATS —— I’m a numbers girl, IYKYK lol.

According to a recent report on Apartment List, DC score the best city for dating. Wowerz. Post pandemic, the 70% of people in D.C., Maryland, and Virginia at least partially vaccinated and all remaining pandemic restrictions now lifted, in-person dating is picking back up in the D.C. region.

Meeting people is easy, but

making dates maybe not so much.

1. intimate feels at The Bar - rOOFTOPS, PATIOS & sPEAKEASIES

The most common place we meet people. It might sound typical, but it’s cool to meet up for a quick getting to know you/ pre date place like a bar. The best kind of bars for first dates or pre-dating are speakeasies and rooftop bars during Happy Hour or after. Speakeasies, patios and rooftops give a more intimate feel. This helps with getting to know someone better. Feel free to look up some scenic rooftop bars in your area or some intimate speakeasies. 2. Chatting over coffee or Getting the tea ☕️

I’m not much of a coffee drinker, but most of you might be. Shoot your shot and get coffee. Express your interests over espresso. This is probably the most simple and easiest date to go on. You can grab coffee during lunch or even during the night. If you’re type isn’t coffee, then tea might be. If you’re a tea type, then get the tea on each other. Warm beverages have a way bringing both warmth and energy to people.

Dining out is the most popular date concept. Food does have a way of bringing people together, so have a seat at the table. Art is interpreted and expressed in many ways. It also defines beauty. Finding love is a lot like art. Maybe finding the beauty in something deeper. Typically most of these convos begin at one of the sculptures or paintings — when that stranger asks you “What do you get from this or what do you think this piece is about ? Something as simple that. Museums, Art Galleries and Interactive Experience create engagement and have people think critically.
